1523. Earth Inductor
Improved form auto-release. Coil of insulated copper wire is wound
on a metal ring. The cradle supporting the coil is of nonmagnetic
cast alloy. It can be placed horizontally or vertically. A spring is
arranged to turn the ring through 1800 the coil is automatically
caught. Terminals for connections are fitted on the cradle. The coil
is available in 500, 1000, 2000 & 5000 turns. |

Graff Generator
(Hand driven) This robust and compact machine provides a high p. d.
suitable for all the usual school experiments in electrostatics.
The large collecting sphere is easily removable and the construction
can be observed.
The charge is placed on the collecting rubber belt by means of a
brush, and when the belt is moved forward, the charge carried by it,
is handed over to the sphere through the other brush and sphere gets
charged. The discharging sphere is supported on a hinged pillar
provided with a handle for easy adjustment of the spark gap. An
earth terminal is fitted.
