Polarimeter
Special design. The circular scales graduated in degrees is attached
near to the Analyzer and a vernier movable on the scale enables
readieg of optical rotation to the 60 seconds.
Worm and gear combines rough and fine adjustments. Provided with
Half Wave mica plate giving 3 parts field for easy setting
adjustable half shadow angle, short focus telescope with precision
lenses. The instrument can be used either with white light or sodium
lamp light Polarimeter tubes corning. glass ¾ diameter bore with
bulb in the center obviate troubles due to air bubbles with self
centring rings incorporated, end covers with spare rubber washers
and end discs.
a) Complete with a set of corning glass tubes 20 cms. with C.P.
fittings and beautifully spray painted in wooden case, accuracy ± 15
degree.
b) Polarimeter fitted with Biquartz in place of mica, giving
coloured distinction accuracy ±5 degree

With SUGAR SCALE, Designed to meet the requirement of sugar
industry, this instrument directly reads the percentage of sugar in
solutions accurate to ±0.1% on international sugar scale. This
instrument is of sturdy design fully streamlined and is finished in
a pleasant grey synthetic.

a) The body comprises of a sturdy Silicon aluminium alloy casting
streamlined to prevent collection of dust. Drains are provided at
vent to stop spreading of sugar solution to the cover plates
enclosing the opticals.
b) light source : Built in Electric Sodium Vapour lamp protected
against damage, to work on 220 volts A.C. complete with transformer.
A filter is also provided between the lamp and the polariser.
c) Half-Shade: laurent, Cornu Jellet or Lippich type,

e) Scale: The Sugar Scale is marked on glass in international sugar
scale units plus 120 deg. to minnus 30 deg illuminated by
transmitted light from the same lamp. Reads accurate to 0.1 % direct
