Precision New Boyle's law Apparatus
(University type) Extra precise (Combined with Charles law) vernier
reads to 0.1 mm. Mirror avoids parallax error. Deilcate elevation
adjustment includes interchangeable Air Thermometer Bulb and
graduated closed tube : Metal reinforcing arm. Provided with air
thermometer. This is a very well made apparatus intended for college
level work. The tripod holds two rigid 19 mm. brass uprights for
carrying the two tubes and a square center rod which is graduated in
mm for 130 cm. A sliding index on the square rod carries a vernier
for reading the scale to 0.1 mm. and mirror for eliminating parallax
when adjusting to the meniscus level.A thumb screw is provided on
the funnel-tube side for making fine adjustments fo the mercury
level, and a metal brance to reinforce the connecting arm . Complete
but without mercury. |
