As per IP-212 and ASTMD-490 specification and is used for determining the viscosity of lubricating and fuel oils.
It consists of S.S. water bath having a oil cup with lid and a stirring device mounted on stand. The oil cup lid has a thermometer socket in which thermometer rests to check the temperature in the water bath. The bath is fitted with a 500 watts heater and is supplied with a wooden or ebonite valve to fit the jet (without glasswares). Suitable to operate on 220 volts AC mains. This apparatus is suitable for determining the close cup flash point of petroleum and mixture according to IP 33 and IP 170 and also IS 1448 (Part 1)1985 (P : 20). This model incorporates a cold trap arrangement which enables cooling with solid bodies such as dry ice etc. The arrangement is very useful for freeze drying application and the concentration of very volatile solutions.

Designed to provide maximum working effiency & convince. Specially designed quick action jack, which enables the operator to lift or lower the complete glass assembly safely & with a minimum effort. proyided with a lock. The jack is fitted on a T shaped aluminum alloy base, light & stable. Non-sparking geared drive unit is provided with speed control unit. In use, the material being distilled only comes into contact with glass or PTFE to avoid contamination or corrosion. A feed tube permits continuous material addition to the rotation flask. Special 316 grade S.S. bath is provided with capillary type thermostat to control the temperature. Water bath is fitted with specially designed constant level assembly, which enables the water addition at the time of opertion.
